Summary

This project was a short VR game experience featuring a “Playroom”. It is a standing, room-scale experience developed in Unity for the Oculus Rift. This was the capstone project submission for my Udacity Virtual Developer Nanodegree course.

This VR experience conveys the concept of curiosity and is intended to evoke a child-like joy and playfulness from the player.

Key Features

The key project requirements that were satisfied included the following:

  • Use of appropriate lighting

  • Creating the intended sense of scale from the environment

  • Use of animations

  • Proper implementation of physics

  • Playing a video from within the game

  • Custom 3D model (created in Blender)

  • Gamification of the experience
